Flowing Reflections
by Mark Seaver
I thoroughly enjoy finding/exploring the patterns created by reflections in moving water. The mid-Atlantic did not have an particularly colorful fall this year, but I was able to find some fun patterns in one on the local streams. (5D3, 70-200 f2.8 @ 145mm, f/16, 1/30s, iso 3200, tripod)

19 commentsThis is fantastic! Jim already beat me to it, but I first thought of psychedelic as well - especially the reflected part. I'm guess tree branches reflecting? Love everything about this! Terrific color throughout and I like that the semi-fast shutter speed helped stop some of the motion.
Because I always find some teenie nit.... the only one I can find here - or at least I would suggest cropping/cloning that very small slice of white water along the bottom edge, about 1/4 from the LLC.
Beautiful - and a very good reason and example to always be looking at the water for reflections. Speaking of which, I'll tell a quick little funny story. My wife and I were in Yosemite along the Merced. Looking at the river I asked her what did she see? She said a bunch of rocks under the water. What did I see? The reflection of El Capitan! Goes to show how we all see things differently and sometimes we have to force ourselves to see outside our own little box of vision.
