One Lucky Kitten

Last July, Jenny noticed a black flash moving around our garage one evening.  A live trap was setup and this kitten was trapped in a couple of hours.  She had a peeled back lip which may have been the result of being thrown out of a moving car, parasites, and other signs of a rough life.  Dr. Jenny took here to work and both she and her friend repaired the kitten's lip, spayed her, and updated vaccinations.  This a photograph taken today of a content, and happy kitten that has moved into our house. She gets 3 meals a day, and along with our 2 other cats Tippy and Tom gets to finish off my milk from my morning cereal. I call her the black mamba.  K5 IIs 180 mm f3.5 (1/20 sec at f5.0, ISO 1600) Crop for comp, Luminosity masks and curves applied to Midtones, Lights, and Darks, Noise treduction on BG, and Brightness & Contrast......................Jim

Jim,

one can see that the cat is in good hands now. A sad story with an happy end.

As for the image, it is a very well composed portrait, and my only suggestion would be to darken it a bit, since as I see it on my monitor it is slightly over exposured enlightened

That is indeed a lucky cat!  I ony hope she does not ACT like a black mamba!!!!  I do agree I'd like to see it darkened, or with more contrast, to make the blacks a bit darker.  Black cats are neat.  My sister had a long-haired black cat for 18 years.  You couldn't even tell where his mouth was until he opened it to meow.  He was a cool cat.
This is a nice portrait.  Take plenty of pictures of her when she is young!!
