I was browsing through my files for an upcoming photo contest and ran across this one from October that I'd never processed.  I liked the nice fall plumage on this guy.

7DII, Sigma 150-600 C @ 600 mm, beanbag on car window, f/6.3, 1/80, iso 1250, aperture priority, pattern metering, +1/3 EV.  Processed in LR5 & CS6.  Cropped from a horizontal original to a 6.4 MP 4x5 vertical.  Taken at 7:37 AM on October 10th at Ridgefield NWR.

Comments and criticisms are always appreciated.

Thanks,

Nicely exposed, the blacks look to be handled well, something I've had issues with when photographing RWBs.  I like the pose with the slight head turn. Nice background as well.

Really nice, Dennis. Excellent exposure and color on the RWBB, and a fine bg.

Nicely captured, Dennis.  Although they are numerous in my area, I've never gotten a decent image.  Well done.

Very nice detail and handling of the black feathers on this one Dennis.  I like the pastel softness of the background.  I'm guessing from your comments that this was taken on a different Ridgefield trip.

Excellent definition in those blacks! beautiful bird in a great pose on the cattails.
I think, if it were mine, I'd clone out the tip of the cattail above his head.
Really nice image!
