Very engaging composition and beautiful color (light golden color in the BG). I'm torn on the out of focus section on the main bole; while some will consider its softness as being more artistic, I find it a bit distracting and would prefer it to have a larger depth of field. Just my opinion, of course. Regardless of my opinion, I still find this very pleasing.

Great eye! I am really liking the shallow DofF and the comp works really well. Fine work!

Very effective use of blur. Both arty and real.

Ana, I agree with Bill about going with a smaller aperture. Would be helpful to know your specs, esp focal length and aperture. Still this is really cool, sort of anthropomorphic art, and a real eye catcher

Ana, I really like the composition and feel of this image. Wonderful light and the softness works for me. I especially like the texture which makes me think of the texture a fine art photo paper has. Very nice and interesting work.

Very unique and delicate view of aspens. I sort of wish that the main tree with the eye was all in focus but not a deal breaker. Love the warm cast. Nice.

Thanks for the comments everyone. It was 200mm f/2.8 so yes, pretty shallow.

A beautiful, dreamy look at this Aspen eye. The glow on the left adds well to the dreamy feeling.

This is what shallow DOF is all about. Excellent work here, and I love how you allowed the color of the leaves to permeate the color of the bark.

I like the shallow depth of field and interesting composition. The double vision blur on the left side of the main bole is concerning to me. I wonder if you could selectively blur the outer line more.

You picked a perfect "eye" here, and I love the blurred left side of the image with its creamy colors. I might consider a small crop off the right side to eliminate the row of dark spots in the bottom right corner. But even as is, a unique and creative look.

Makes me want to see more. Color is very nice. The eye really is a nice find in nature.
