On a windy evening in the badlands of Utah, the wind was howling and the clouds were putting on a bit of a show.

Harley, The large version is absolutely impressive! Those clouds are fantastic and I also love the landscape below. The b&w processing along with detail doesn't get much better in my opinion. Perfect combination of shadows and highlights. Beautiful work!

Well done, Harley. You really captured the essence of that windy evening. Love the light on the clouds and how the framing cuts nothing off. The light on the badlands ain't too shabby either. Sweet image.

This simple cloud composition is really well done IMO. In most images, including mine, the clouds play a supporting role and they never seem to be optimally aligned with the land. I like that there is space given around the entire cloud and that there are smaller ones echoing the large one. The overall composition works well in a panoramic frame. The gradient tonality in the sky is also a nice feature.

Really nice. You really nailed the tones in this one. This nicely captures the wide-open sense of this area.

Those are indeed impressive clouds, Harley, I'm amazed at how isolated they are even as your processing shows lots of structure. The land below is amazingly rugged.

This definitely needs to be seen in large view to be fully appreciated. The clouds really attract the eye to the image but the beauty (for me) is in the landscape. So much for the eye to explore and enjoy. Well done Harley.
