Great catch; just wish the grasses were not so prominent in front of him.
Tough to avoid, though..
I'd try cloning out at least the ones right in front of his face.

I don't think I've ever seen a ram with such a big rack before in the park, but I think others have photographed this big boy in the same area.  Really impressive.

Jerry, I like how you got him in the midst of all the green and beige grasses.  It's such a nice pattern surrounding him.

Beautiful animal, beautiful detail, and I love the grasses surrounding him.

Absolute dandy ram...The grass in front of the face if fine to my thinking, not cutting eyes and consistent with surroundings.  Tech, spot on.

I like the centered comp and the soft lighting.  I saw the same two rams several times in the same area last week.  I hope my images turn out as well as this.

This is a great catch, Jerry.  The gentle light lets all of the details show while adding enough shadows for a strong sense of depth.  I love the "big eye" view and how well he stands out from the surroundings even as the surrounding tell a fine story about his location.

I enjoy habitat photos, and this one of the very nice ram fits.  The grass and foliage around the ram are fine with me since the grass in front is in focus and does not interfere with the eye.

Jerry,
Wonderful shot, I admire your resistance to not eliminating the grassesdevil
