I found this Wilson's Plover back in June on a trip to Florida. I really like the grassy environment rather than just sand.

1D Mk IV, 500mm f4L IS + 1.4 TC
1/1600, f5.6
ISO 400

Great look at this diminutive plover, Matt. Your techs look perfect and the lighting is fantastic. I enjoy seeing the included habitat too.

A very nice habitat shot, and exceptionally well-exposed. Good detail in the blacks and whites. The depth of field is ideal. First rate!

Pefect DOF and detail. The habitat is a plus as well. I'm wondering if a little selective lightening of the bill might bring out more detail there.

Very nice, Matt.  I like the foreground grasses as well and you have nice light and a good pose.

This looks very nice and the large view. The light is very nice and warm. I like the fact that you've included a fair amount of the birds environment. The bird really pops against the background. Nice job.

Talk about frame filling fun! Nice low POV on this one Matt, plus nice soft light and good techs.
