This Osprey was photographed hand held, around 20 minutes before the Great Egret photograph at South Cove in Old Saybrook, Ct.  The photo is cropped by 10% and I made some shadow, clarity and vibrance adjustment to it in Lightroom 5.

Nice to get so close so that one can get good detail. I like the diagonal composition and you've done a good job bringing out the color.

Very nice catch, Peter.  I like the head turn and look at the eye and the typical hunting pose.

Well done.

A nice flight shot, Peter. It looks like the crown of the head might be hot; easily fixed. The angle composition works very well.

I like the unusual angle, Peter. Nice capture of the scouting behavior.
