In the Pink

After a brief mid-afternoon shower, some of the water lilies in my pond had lots of drops clinging to their leaves.  I was able to get close enough to this one without putting my tripod in the pond to get this view of the images refracted by the drops.  An 8 shot stack to get the hanging drops and the images in them sharp.  (5D3, 180mm macro, 1/50s, f/8, iso 800, tripod, 84% of ff)

Outstanding, Mark. My kind of image. Excellent dof management via the stacking and beautiful color. devil

Great job getting those reflections in the water droplets tack sharp.  I'm wondering what it would be like if you cropped the image on the right side to remove the entire oof upper petal.  Think it would draw more attention to the droplets.

Hi Mark, a wonderful macro - the multiple repeat reflections in the water droplets are a dream ... great use of stacking to pull this off!

I missed this stunning image when you posted it last July, Mark. It's really gorgeous, and you've managed to pull it off out of the studio and not get your tripod in the pond! Lovely soft colors and the reflected lilies in the drops put it over the top.
