Here's a multi-flash shot from our Ecuador tour in January.  The bird on the left is a Buff-tailed Coronet and the bird on the right is a Chestnut-breasted Coronet.
Canon 5D3, Sigma 150-600 C at 275mm 1/200 F16, iso 500, 580ex flash, 5 Nikon SB-26 slave flashes which can be triggered by any other flash going off, sugar water feeder below the perch.

Very nice to see both hummingbirds together picture and so sharp. I'm assuming you have a background here as that appears to be your MO in these multiple flash unit pictures. This looks really nice. We need some of these more exotic species up here in the Pacific Northwest.

Thanks David, yes the background is artificial.  Because the light is all produced by the slave flashes you need an artificial background or your background would be black.

A wonderful composition with that curved perch and bit of moss dangling from the middle.  Sweet image, Nate.

Nate, I really admire your work with multiple flash.  Too bad the LH bird didn't move down on the branch a bit from the growth at the end.

Very beautiful Nate. The DOF used for these flash setups is perfect for a shot like this. Really nice work!
