When I last visited this refuge a couple of days ago I noticed several kingbirds hawking dragonflies from the around the wetland, but I just didn't get the shot I was looking for. I went back again this morning and had a little better luck.

That's some sweet action Chuck, love the take off pose, dragonfly in the beak and spider web in the right hand corner.  I might boost the contrast a bit to give the blacks more punch. devil

I guess you did, Chuck.  This is a wonderful image.  Wing position, extension, eye contact, and prey all add up to a real winner.  Congratulations.

Well taken!  Great wing position IMHO.  The BG works very well.  Thanks for sharing.

Outstanding capture, Chuck. Perfect timing. The spider in its bill is very cool. I think it would be improved a bit with just a touch of contrast.

Nice timing on this one Chuck. The meal in the beak is a nice bonus as well! Great job.

Sweet pose, wing position, and bug!  The bits of cobweb, don't add anything, imo, and might be cloned out.
Congrats on the fine WP!
