Airborne Nighthawk

I finally managed to capture a decent image of these guys in flight. Their wing size continues to amaze me. They are very erratic fliers. It was pretty late, so I had to bump the ISO way up. I have been amazed at how well the 1DX Mark II handles high ISO. Amazing camera. Processed using Lightroom 6 and Photoshop CC 2014 along with Light Craft's LightZone. Comments and critiques welcome.

Excellent work, Jerry.  Very tough conditions to get a flight shot and the detail in this one is very good.  Great wing position and angle as well.

Nicely done Jerry!  Overall, this is a very nice image with really good detail in the large image and a nice evening sky and light as the background.  Considering their erratic flight,  you did a great job with that lens at 560mm.

Fine catch - sharp, great wing position, bright eye - and an extremely difficult bird to even see, let alone cvatch in flight.
Excellent work!

Well done Jerry.  I have still to capture a flight shot of these fast flyers.

Really nice Jerry. Not an easy species at all to get in flight. Love the wing position and clean BG. Great work!
