This image was taken a week ago (June 2) less than 50 feet from where I was standing when I took the owl photo. My wife and I walk in Mill Creek Park every evening after work, and I carry a camera bag for additional exercise and in case of photo ops like this one. Not the greatest background or setting for this shot, but I liked the behavior. D600, 80-400 at 200, f6.3, 1/200, iso 500. Slight crop, and some clean up cloning. Suggestions, questions, and other comments very welcome. crying

I too like the behavioral aspects, Scott.  It's a great interaction moment.  I also like the sense of peeking through the grasses at these two, which is pretty typical when it comes to spotting White-tails.

Excellent, Scott.  Great behavior and I don't find anything objectionable about the setting.

The bg may not be perfect, Scott, but the capture of the animals is first class.  A really nice moment, with that turn of the mother's head, beautifully lit !

An excellent capture of a special moment, Scott!  I think the surroundings are very natural and help set the context and mood. Great clarity and detail on the deer.  I particularly like the large version as it makes you feel like you're right there hiding in the bushes.  Very nice devil

OMG, how loving and tender.   Everything is just fine.  And, the baby is even nursing!  Reminds me of the tender moments watching my mare and her foals each year.

I actually love everything about this onedevil I feel like I'm looking through a hole in time, with the clarity of the pair and the blurring of the "window", and getting a special peek at a the doe's tender nudge.  At first, foals or fawns really don't know exactly where the teats are...and mama has to gently push them to the right place.devildevildevil This is probably the 4th day of life, as she is just getting the hang of it, and because babies are all skin and bones at birth.  They need a few days to "fatten" up.  At least, that's my experience with horses.

You are so fortunate to have seen these two.   These are the moments, that fill your heart with love and joy!  Consider yourself blessed.
