Snow Tentacles

This is from earlier this year when we still had a little snow around.  Just a memory now.  I really liked the low angle of the light and how the remaining  snow fingers caress one of my favorite empty country ridges.

Beautiful!  Very, very abstract for a straight landscape. Great tones, converging lines and light.  I like this a lot.

Cool shot Gary. I really like how the mountains in the bg give it a nice abstract look.

Beautiful composition in terms of overall design and tonality. The background is particularly interesting with respect to the ridge. I would try cropping some off the bottom to emphasize this interplay and to give the background greater importance.

That is a suggestion that may or may not improve significantly. It's really very good the way it is. Great job.

I like how you've emphasized the foreground ridge with it's textures and shapes and then contrast that with those great erosional tentacles in the background.  You've got a very moody image with lots of fine shapes and textures.  Based on the forecast, it looks like your about to get hammered with heat, Yikes!

Superb abstract, Gary. Lots to look at to hold my interest. The side lighting works beautifully emphasizing the shapes and textures. Processing looks spot-on and I'm pressed to offer any suggestions to optimize.
