I love the buttes of the Colorado Plateau in Utah. I got some clouds to cooperate on this morning back in April.

That is a buttefully done image. I am just hankerin for some contrast in fore, mid ground.

Understandable why you like these rocks, Harley! I am seeing lots of nice abstracts in those rocks, very nice. I might slightly dodge the sky in the ulc to make it more even among the whole photo. Minor nit though, this is great as is!

Very cool. The detail and textures in those buttes is awesome. B&W rendering works great. Fine as presented but if it were mine, I'd play with some alternate crops to increase the prominence of the buttes as, imo, are the stars of the image.

I think I've seen something like this place before...perhaps it was a dream.  sad  I like that the foreground has a lot of space to go along with empty sky above the clouds.  There is a certain symmetry to the comp.  I like it Mr. Harely.

Going b&w here really lets the shapes of those striking buttes stand out.  The clouds are a fine addition.  It's a personal preference, but I wonder how slightly less darkening of the blue sky would look.

Pretty neat.  Dig the conversion though looks like could use a bit of pop to the whites.  I keep going back and forth on the fg being too empty but think it works.  SW was made for bw thats for sure :)

Gorgeous tones and textures throughout this landscape; all topped of with those wonderful clouds. The pano format also works beautifully for this desert landscape, Harley.

A grand scene for sure. I agree that the lighter tones could do with a bit more pop.

The detail and sharpness is incredible in this image. The dark rendition of the sky has worked very nice for you. The foreground, which takes up 1/3 of the image, is weakening the composition for me. I think I would try a few different crop of this image to reduce that fg.

Harley, to me the image lacks the whites, especially in the sky.  I would do a levels adjustment, add some contrast, and crop a little off the left to just inside the larger round eye-catching cloud near the edge.  The butte and ravines on the sides of the butte look like wonderful subjects.
