I've been out for a while (again...). Usually I've been coming here to browse the image, comment some, but I have not been posting recently.

Last week I could bird one day, and captured some image. I'll start with this beautiful tanager.

Canon 7D Mk II + Canon 500mm f/4 IS

Having a youngster does tend to take up a lot of one's time, Jefferson.  Nice to have you post again.  this is one gaudy bird and you did a very nice job of capturing those electric blues and greens.  You might consider cloning out the second catchlight from the fill flash and I think you might want to go with a little more negative compensation on the flash-it's just beginning to show.

Jefferson,
What a remarkably colourful bird.
I agree with the points raised by Dennis.

Hello Dennis, Ken,
I've tried to work a little bit on the image, I hope I was able to improve it somehow. I would appreciate your comments on the new version.

Thanks,
Jefferson

Jefferson,
Firstly the removal of the second catch light has worked perfectly.
I think that the reduction in brightness/contrast has removed the apparent over bright look, as well.

Welcome back; I enjoy your posts. I never saw this species out in the open like this. The repost fixes any criticisms I might have had. A fine shot of a stunning bird. One of those species that makes your eyes water when you see it through binos.

Jefferson, you guys really have some of the prettiest species. LOVE the colors in this bird. I like hte L shaped perch, good head turn and nice techs. I agree with removal of the second catch light. Great job!
