A field along the road in the Tehachapi Foothills. It was a grey overcast morning and this was the most dynamic sky I saw that day.
these are Fiddlenecks, with Lupine and 2 or 3 other types of flower.

Hi Chris,

There are quite a few interesting elements in your landscape.  The intersecting triangular patches of orange and green are nicely placed..............................Jim

Nice to see some poppies and fiddlenecks this year. Nice addition with the fenceline.   Lovely sky.  Hopefully this will seed out for an even better year in 2017....rain permitting.

Angles and colors work really well here, nicely seen and executed! I think the sky is very fitting with the rest of the photo.

Some nice Spring hillsides...the fence line is good and the posts firmly anchor the image, although I wish the top wire was a uniform color, the spliced-in strand keeps calling my attention. Nothing you could do on that. I would be tempted to see what it looks like by cropping the sky to just before the deep blue. The low storm clouds  work really well and add another level of interest...the blue sky portion, not so much for me. Plenty of color with the grasses, yellows and oranges. Nice job.

Chris, Beautiful picture. I really like what the fence adds to this scene and excellent work on the comp. The colors are wonderful.

This has turned out very nicely, Chris. Great textures, curves and colors. The inclusion of the fence provides a lot of additional interest too.

I love a a nice fenceline with grass and flowers, and this one is especially nice.  I like the z lines in the diagonal hills and the depth of the clouds along with blue sky.  The different color of wire does distract a little, but too much.  You might be able to go really crazy with cloning it at 100% magnification, but I don't think that's necessary for the viewer to appreciate the image.
