Lovely textures.  I would love to know how you processed this.  The red, green and brown are beautiful against the black BG.

Elisabeth, only normal usual things in editing. Are you thinking about the dark background? My photos have often a dark or black BG always got taking flowers in a stark contrast. Here, for example, the contrast was between the petals struck by the sun and a stark shade behind the rose. Exposing Spot on the highest light the shade underexposed and went very dark; there should be dark soft green spots of the leaves: are they visible?
Thanks for your interest in the photo and for the comment.

Very beautifully done. Nothing to critique here at all.

This has a wonderful presence, Gigi, almost surreal.  The stem and leaf fading into the darkness set off the deep reds of the flower to perfection.

Superb...  the lack or limited white and silver reflections on the dew drops separates this.  What a winner.  I like the framing and angle of the flower.  I suppose...to really scratch for a nit...   the green leaf is a tad distracting.  In my mind, nothing could be done to correct it....not bending the leaf manually...for that would disturb the droplets...and not stepping on the brightness ...for that would distort too much the balance of light.   Conclusion...  'as is'  is wonderful.

I like the angle of the stem and the color of the rose.  The dew drops add a very nice element.  A very nice BG to show off the main subject.
