Thanks very much for you comments and observations on the previous post.  Of course  your comments and critiques are always welcome and I would love to hear some on this image.

This was from the same morning and location as the previous post.  Along the shores of the Merced River in January of last year.
Again, 4x5 with no technicals.

Thanks in advance!

I love the gold reflections in the water, Lon.  This doesn't have the initial impact of your last image, but the longer I look at it, the more I find to interest me.  The fine textures in the lower section of the image really appeal to me and that one bright splash of gold makes a wonderful focus for the image.  I really can't think how you could improve it.

Beautiful colors and tones, with the gold highlights in just the right place. Looks like liquid gold. I love how subtle and dark the blues are. I'm not sure about the bottom fourth of the image since there is a lot less going on there. But regardless, it is a pleasing water flow capture...I'm usually a sucker for any of them and this one is especially nice.

I like both of your blue and gold images. This one has a more ethereal, mystical quality to it. I like it it just as it is!

This is a really nice image and the abstract nature of it leaves a lot to look at. The flowing water has really picked up a lot of different colors, textures, shapes.  The tonal range is amazing. Once again incredible what film is capable of doing. I think you would have a hard time getting these subtleties in digital.

Great colors and flow, but something about the shutter speed is throwing me off my game here. Maybe a tweener on the speed? Can't really articulate what bothers me.

Lon,
Another beautiful water abstract. While there are endless options, this SS choice creates a dreamy quality while still retaining nice textures in the water. The cool and warm tones mixing together are gorgeous.

The slow shutter speed has turned this into something really special. It works wonderfully as an abstract and has properties that lead the mind toward molten metal. I love the color palette too which I feel plays well to ensure the success of this photo.

You can not go wrong with the combo of blue and gold, Lon. The gentle undulations of the water have a wonderful dreamy quality that is thoroughly enjoyable. Great image.

Once again you nailed it. Love those colors, and very interesting to see the two different flows of water resulting in very different reflections. No nits for me!

Lon, This image works so well for me. Excellent composition and the longer shutter looks like it was perfect for this capture. I love the colors in this and it certainly does have the look of molten metal as Anil mentioned. Very nice!

Nice dreamy feel to this Lon!

I think i'd consider turning blue up (or moving blues a tad more toward blue) just a hair if it were mine.

This is a lovely abstract, Lon.  The diffuseness due to the slow shutter adds a nice touch of glow throughout that complements the highlight area very well.

I love the flow to this one (no pun intended) as well as the texture of the water.  The gold blends nicely into the blue.
