Actually a two exposure HDR, though not a super large dynamic range here. I just happened to like the way the shadows are enrichend.

I like the way the main stream flows through the frame. A nice evenly lit forest stream scene, busy, but certainly not chaotic. Beautiful greens throughout. I only wish there were a few ferns in the llc. It feels a bit like looking down, would a slightly lower pov have been possible? Nevertheless it is a peaceful image one could look at for quite some time.

I would not have guessed this to be an HDR shot, which is a very good thing in my world. The greens look very inviting, you really captured the spirit of a forest like this.

Roel:

Also not generally pleased with most HDR images as currently generated. Not a lot of exposure range here, but I do like the way the shadows gentely  came to life. Also the multiple exposures do have some additional effect on the water.

I think this works nicely, Tom. The color and tones look good. Even though this is HDR, I think it was done very well.

Nice scene.  Works very well!

I think an image shot mostly to the right of the histogram with the Canon would have no need for HDR software here...  Not that one should not use HDR software (whatever works). But I find the various software to create less clean images and more artifacting in large prints, so I avoid it...  :)

I would not have guessed this was HDR, Tom. I really like the lushness of the scene along with your placement of the stream as it invites the viewer into the image. Nicely done.

Very nice image, not cluttered at all, which is an achievement with forest scenes. I tend to like vignettes on images, and I think that this is one case where that would work well. It might accentuate the forest mood a bit, so might be worth a try.

Tom,

HDR and processing aside (btw, processing looks great, spot on,) I think this is a beautifully composed image.  I love the flow of the dreamy creek, and that little feed stream down the middle really contributes to an overall well balanced image.

Well done!

I love these tranquil forest/fern/water scenes. The way the two streams merge is a nice comp too. I agree about the llc.

This is a fine composition. It captures some of the magic of our rainforests. Personally, I would have preferred a slightly faster shutter speed to give the water a less cottony look.
