Olympic Blue/ Repost
by Chris Chamberlain
I like the adrenaline rush of crazy sunsets, and wild light as much as anybody. But, I don't think of myself as an adrenaline junky, but rather a contentment junky. Walking on this beach at this time, after the golden hour had past, was just relaxing. It filled me with contentment! I hope you can appreciate the swath of color in the upper right from rainbow.

12 commentsyeah, that's polarization. I worked on it some already. Thought it looked reasonable in the full sized file on my home monitor. It does look more pronounced here from my iPhone though.
This image brings me to the beach with you. I can feel the cool air of the Olympic coast on my face, I can breath in the fresh sea smell, and I can put my toes into the sand and chillax. The image ois nicely balanced with reflections, mid ground seat stacks, and the blues and clouds up top, not to mention the hint of a rainbow.
I would mess around with the darkened sky, but small stuff for such an inviting scene.

A beautiful seascape for sure. Not as dramatic as your earlier posts, but this one isn't about drama, just peaceful and enjoyable; brings you right there as others have mentioned.
No real nits here, although I have suggestion. Rather than dealing with the darker, polarized left half of the image, the right side seems to need more contrast to match the left, rather than the other way around. Specifically, the sandy part. I realize the ocean mist is in play with the seastack in the distance, but I'd like to see more contrast in the beach. Minor as that might be.
The little rainbow - icing on the cake!

Beautiful image. Excellent comp. with effective placement of elements. That rainbow really balances out the comp. nicely by adding interest to the URC. Only suggestion would be to try and even out the sky due to the polarizer effects.
I think it looks better, and livelier too.
Thanks
