Cardinal in Snow

Female Cardinal during a snowstorm in Boston. It was snowing while I took the shot (got my gear a little wet) but it wasn't hard enough to show in the frame. She was much more willing to pose than the male who was just too shy.

Canon 5D III, EF 600 mm F/4 II
1/180s, F/4, ISO 800, cropped to 90% of original.

Cheers,

Hisham.

Hi Hisham,

I like how you were able to get the photo of her while she was tucked into the branches.  Exposure is right on to capture the snowy details as well...............................Jim

Nice composition and some lovely detail in the bird's plumage, Hisham.  You handled the exposure very well.
