We ahd about 8" of snow a couple of days ago and I went out looking for images I could make. I had a couple of things in mind, but was open to what ever caught my attention. This is one that just popped up as I was driving to a location I had in mind. I really like the way it turned out. It has a very painterly feel to me. Please see larger image. Thanks for our comments and critiques.

"painterly":  Like a pen and ink drawing.  Very nice.

Beautiful winter scene, Richard!  The grasses coming up through the snow add nice texture and detail.

Sure missed this one until just now, Richard.......Excellent.....I really like this one a lot. As a big "fan" of windmills, this makes a really wonderful scene.
Also, congrats on the WP for this fine image.......devil
