Wonderful action, Bill. Is that odd color on the underside of the bird and the bill reflection from the water?

Great pose, color and detail. On the large version, there appears to be a halo around the bird.

I do like the position you caught this pelican in. Screams dive dive dive! Fine detail and color. Thanks for sharing.

What a fine catch on this diving Pelican. I love how they just seem to "fold up and dive" when they see a fish. The sharpness and position of the bird are great and the the varied blues in the water and sky work perfectly. The few trailing drops of water, seen in the large version are a special addition.

I've tried this a number of times, and have never done this well. Really nice - simple and clean.
