Image made at last month in the Owens Valley facing east to the White Mountains at sunset. Appreciate any comments/suggestions. Thanks

Wow, pretty spectacular layers you have. Love the grasses and trees making  up the FG.  Owens Valley has some great colors for that time of year.  The road on the far right breaks up the image a little for me.  Not sure if lowering your position and moving further away was an option to hide it behind the hill in front.  Blues and golds of the mnt. and clouds very nice mix.  Mighty fine as presented.

Pretty neat seen and lots of cool layers/colors!  As an artistic direction I might burn the midground hill and let the fg and bg pop more.  Thats' getting more fancy though.  Nice shot!

Good layering and detail. I especially like the alpenglow. The little two rut road doesn't bother me. I do wonder how this would look as a landscape orientation.

Dave,

This is an incredible image.  I love everything about this.  The layers are clear and obvious - giving this image great depth.  The multiple layers are distinct, yet are all connected.  The lower 4 layers occupying the bottom 1/3-1/2 are simply gorgeous and cropping this would make for another outstanding image all by itself.  Not to take away from the sweet, warm light on the mountains.... but you just have a lot going for you here.  All of it awesome.

Not surprising, the road is not an issue with the smaller size.  But even in the larger view, it doesn't detract to much from the overall impact this one  has for me.

You're on an Eastern roll.....

Love the layers and especially the foreground, Dave. The bg clouds and light on the mountain are nice, too. devil

The multiple layers of subtle colors and fine textures are highlighted (pun intended) very nicely by the light on the top of the mountains.  Well seen, Dave.

A textbook example of an elegant composition! So nice and calm, and still lots of details to explore. All the different layers cooperate perfectly, without conflicting with each other. I call this a winner!

The clear layering adds a graphic quality that is impressive. It is also symmetric, as bottom and top mirror each other somewhat. Very well done!

That is a nicely layered image full of contrasts, warm-cold, red-blue, dry-wet, far-near. Nice view over the pass onto the impressive snow covered mountains. The layer of clouds adds to a feeling of depth. From a perspective of proportions a bit more grass at the bottom? Very minor, not even sure about it. Great image as is.

Wow, what a classic eastern Sierra landscape, Dave. Beautiful light and comp and tack-sharp throughout. The layer of low clouds adds a lot. I might crop up from the bottom just a hair to reduce some of the dark spots in the reeds but that's really reaching for a nit. Wish it were mine!

Really beautiful, Dave.  Love everything about this image.  If it were mine, (and I sure wish it was), I'd clone the road and think about a crop to just below the glowing peak.  Real nice as is, but I really like the layers and the arc of the saddle with just a bit of the blue mountains and the lowest layer of clouds.  Outstanding any way you present it.
