In Between

The snow & rain storm was breaking up and the sun was beginning to shine through all the clouds and fog.  In this case, the fog was still thick below and the clouds were still thick above but the sunlight managed to sneak in between the layers and light up the peaks of the mountains. I cropped it into a panorama because there was a lot of dead cloud space above and below.  Because of the panorama format though, it will definitely look better in the large version.

Gary, I like the peek between the cloud layers, view.  The clouds above and below give this a feeling of looking out an airplane window with a touch of the ethereal.  You've got some fine light on the mountains.  I think you cropped well, as there's a nice balance of cloud, mountain, cloud in this view.

This has an other-worldly look. I love the light on the peaks, below the dark clouds.
