Spider in Colour

It was quite a winter, with temperatures dropping to about 11 degree C. I know its not much for you folks. But good enough to freeze my subjects. A green lynx spider which found refuge in a orchard weavers web. This one had quite a bit of colour in it. Made the image from behind it, as I felt I could express the colour better. About 15 minutes before the rays of sun came in. I would say it was cross light rather than back light.

Stunning, Balan!!! The spider looks great with its colors, but what I really like is how the out of focus web almost mimics a spider too, especially the part below and to the right of the spider. Yet, those out of focus strands do not distract from the spider itself.

That is one colorful spider, Balan!  You've also got excellent detail, including the bristles on it's legs.  I'm really enjoying the oof webbing in the background, they mimic what's in focus very well.

A fascinating image created by some out of the box composition and some environmental variables.  The colors and textures here are superb.
