Red-tailed hawk in the Fens of Boston trying to locate the squirrel he was chasing. I cloned a couple twigs from the background.

Canon 7D2, EF 600mm f/4 II

1/2000, F/5.6, ISO 800

Cheers,

Hisham.

Beautful close up. I love the curve of the neck. Well done.

Boo-yah, that's some detail and wonderful soft contrast, Hisham! Love the intensity of the look from the hawk as well. Great complementary colour palette to boot. Very nice.

TOTAL aside but thought I'd mention the link to your website in your signature is working fine but the text as displayed is showing code instead of simply your website name. And it's a very nice site, BTW! laugh

Hisham: I really like the pose and intense look on the bird's face. I think the photo would benefit by either burning or cloning out the oof area to the left of the bird. Fine otherwise. Richard

Excellent portrait, Hisham.  I love the pose.  The detail is perfect-very crisp with no hint of oversharpening.
