This was taken in the Miller Park Zoo several years ago.  The fox squirrel entered the river otter exhibit, but did not get out!  A good example that just because a predator is in the zoo does not mean they have lost their wild instincts.

Otters are cute but......................These guys are fierce predators and you captured this one at the right moment.  The eye and whiskers are somewhat  soft due to motion.  Otherwise, the comp is good and exposure looks fine as well..................Jim

A fine action catch here, John.  I like the details in the otter's fur.  To me, the slight softness in the otter's muzzle is acceptable.  Your comp. is excellent.

Very nice capture, John. Also a nice illustration that a fish-eating mammal can enjoy a little change of pace.

Squirrel. Its whats for dinner.  Yes a break from the zoo fish diet is an opportunity waiting to happen.  Good catch John.

Ahh, a little look into the dark side of the cute little River Otter!  Nicely captured, John!  Good comp and nice detail where it counts.  i can't help but notice the similarity between the squirrel's face and the otter's face.
