Moving away from the dunes to the slots. Got to finally experience the slot canyons around Page, AZ. I felt pretty limited by the tour rules and wasn't able to study the scenes and comps like I would have liked but it was still a great experience. I'm a pretty big guy so navigating through some of the narrow spaces was challenging but invigorating at the same time. I lagged behind the group a bit so I could get an unobstructed shot of this small opening. One of the shots I was most pleased with. All comments welcome.>=))>

Really nice, Bill.  You don't see this particular composition very often.  Good eye.

Excellent composition, this really works very well! Although this kind of photos work very well with a bit more saturation, especially the purples are a bit too saturated for my taste. Seems like the detail is lost in the lower purple parts, which is a bit of a shame. Still really enjoying this one though, it's a great shot!

Bill, your title describes the view very well.  I like the sweep and the sense of heading into a tunnel.  The transition to magenta at the bottom and the deep blue shadows seem strong.  A slot canyon(s) is on my todo list...

That sure is some in your face bold color, Bill. I really like what you put together here with the lines leading the viewer through that arch.

Nice composition and beautiful colors. I have never been to the slot canyons, so I can't comment on the color saturation. It is on my bucket list though.

Bill,

This an outsanding composition and a great and satisfying take from the slots.  You were rewarded well for hanging back and waiting for the crowds to move on.  This would be on my bucket list too, but I'm just not sure I'd enjoy that experience.

The only nit I have has been mentioned, and that's the strong violet/purple at the bottom, and highlighted in other parts of the image. Of course I've never been, but this color just doesn't seem natural. Perhaps it's there and in the file, but it does come across a bit unnatural.  And almost blocked as Roel points out at the very bottom.

This is most definitely worth exploring more in processing. Love the comp and how you've framed this wonderful section of the slot canyon.

The comp is flawless but the colors seem off as others have pointed out.

The view and lines are eyecatching, but the color cast seems a little far out to me.  Especially the magenta in the lower area and shadowarea above the arch.  Maybe heavy on the sat. as well.  The many different angles keep my eye wandering through the image.  Too bad about the crowds, but you seemed to make the most of it.

The magenta is a bit too strong in some areas. However, overall IMO this composition is stronger than the previous ones from the same area.
