Newport Beach Pier

December 28, 2015 in Newport Beach, California where it had rained a bit earlier in the day.  Sunsets are wonderful here during the fall and winter months, but we never know how the cloud cover will react as the sun sets.  We were lucky this night to get some of the sun srays below the dense clouds.  The El Nino has given us water in the 70s despite the air temperature in the low 50s.  Hence, the surfers were still out.
