Locked On

Hi all! Been tied up with Christmas business and busyness and am happy to be moving into a bit quieter time around the holidays themselves...hope this season is blessed for each of you as well.

I'm back with another of my favourite Great Grey, this one taken just moments before he lifted off on an unsuccessful strike at a meal. I like the intensity and incredible focus he is displaying here along with the body language as he prepares to launch.

Cropped horizontal from vertical.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to look and comment...please view the larger version if you have a moment.

You captured the intensity of the owls stare very well.  Also like the detail in the owl and the habitat included in the photo except for those OOF light spots.  Thanks for sharing.  Happy Holidays.

In additons to the positives that nature provided you and you've mentioned, this is a great composition expertly photographed, John.

Great behavioural shot John. The white spots draw my eye a bit, but not too much. Love the rich colors.

I like the look you are getting from this owl John...makes me wonder what has caught his eye. I like the surrounding habitat. nicely framed.
