A Much Better Boardman?

This is a complete restart of the processing of the Boardman tree farm (posted earlier in this gallery).  I kept the crop of the other, but I processed it entirely in LR.

Let me know what you think of the new processing, contrast, and crop. If this thing still leaves everyone cold, I'll take that seriously ;-).

I like this version. I am a bit distracted by the tree on the left side which on viewing the larger version (using the new button center bottom of photo) draws my attention away from the rest of the image.

Ya know, I debated that tree.  That's easily handleable.  Let me know if you think it needs more contrast, etc.

I like this one a lot better, and my only nit would be the aforementioned tree on the left maybe. But that's a minor nit!

This is really cool, Marylynne.  I'm not sure if it was intentionsl, but to my eye it loks like an x-ray image and I find the effect intriguing and beautiful.  I like the way it makes the more distant trees kind of fold into the bg.

Marylynne,
Aren't our opinions about photos individual and subjective.  While intriguing, from an artistic and subject point of view I like many of your photos better.  If I had not seen your other work I would be gushing about this.  I do like the way that the central colume moves forward in a triangle taking my eye with it.

I think I prefer the initial post.  The processing and hint of color give the trees a frosted look which is more unique for me.  I liked the subtle cool / warm mix in the 1st image.  A great location indeed.
