I shot this at the Crane Pools early last week just after 7 AM when the sun rose above the mountains to the east.  It was about 20 degrees and there was a bit of ice on the legs.

7D2 400 f4 DO +1.4 Wimberley I on GT2531, ISO 400 1/400 f7.1 0.0EV, full frame.

You guys are making me want to pack my bags, Bill.  A very nice take-off shot with that incredible morning light.  Did you keep the shutter speed down deliberately to blur the wingtips?  I kind of like the effect.

I'm just back from two days there myself and haven't had time for any processing yet. Nice position for the wings.
