Swapped my surfboard in favour of my Nikon D810 last weekend for half an hour at Australia's most famous beach, Bondi and made a few photos. I love floating on the ocean under gunmetal skies when dappled light breaks through the clouds and turns the water a translucent emerald.

I love a good sruf shot!  NIce shutterspeed here to get a bit of blur on the sky and a hint on the sand with the sharp surfer.  Great use of color as well

The colors here are just fabulous. I too love a gunmetal gray with  turquoise water and orangey sand.  The shutter speed for some motion in clouds but clear, serene looking surfer are inspired choices.  I can see this printed huge on acrylic with some nice gloss.

Nicely composed.  I like the lines of the clouds and the sand and the way they work together and cross the lines of the waves.

I thikn the composition with the centered horizon works well, and the almost colorless sky in the upper half contrasts well with the blue-green water and the sand in the lower half (which again form a good contrast). Nice!

Kah,
I really like the shot and am glad you did not yield to any temptation to crop farther on the right.  The composition and reflection are wonderful.
