Thanks again for all the comments so far.  Much appreciated.

This won't be the end of the grass images.... but here is my second offering.  I would really appreciate your thoughts, impressions and of course critique and suggestions.

This was either in El Capitan Meadow, or quite possible Leidig Meadow, can't remember.  A chili and frosty morning for sure.

Nikon D800E
Tamron 24-135mm @24mm
5-image focus stack @f/16
Tony Kuypers Luminosity, Saturation masks and Lights Triple Play

Thanks!

Very nice, Lon. I like the subtle colors in additon to the pattern created by the frosted grass. Kudos on the processing as the  detail via the stack is excellent.

Lon: Good vision again and fabulous details. I like the implied movement despite knowing that the subject had to be absolutely still for the successful stack. 2 thumbs up! >=))>

I am really enjoying your images, Lon.  Glad you are back.  This is exactly the type of image that I would probably never take the time to look at, let alone concoct a very pleasing composition.  It is a tribute to you patience and experience. Bravo

Another nice one, Lon. Great detail and shapes.  On this, I might even prefer a shallow DofF, with the foreground sharp and the image fading in light and focus. Looks good this way, though.

Nice textures in this image. Especially with the frost highlighting the various blades of grass. I have nothing to add. I always like these types of images.
Nicely seen.

I love the detail and the sense of swaying in the wind. The very subtle colors are also very beautiful.  And, to me the few dry leaves in between the grass add that extra touch of "reality". A very small detail, perhaps, but it does work well, I think.

You are the 'grass master'! I love the implied flow of this. The details are very nice, and you did a great job separating the tones. The subtle color and soft light is very pleasing. well done, sir!

A bit late, I know, but I can hardly keep up with the frequency you post your new images!  I like this one in particular. The grass resembles flowing water, there is simply a good sense of "flow" and depth in this one. A really good take on "The Grass Image".
