Bunch Creek Falls

Bunch Creek Falls is near Lake Quinault in the Olympic National Park.  This was a dark overcast day and the image was created by using three bracketed images at f16, 1/4th 1/8th and 1/30th sec., ISO 1600.  Equipment used: Nikon D800, Nikkor 24-70mm @ 36mm with a tripod.  This 60 foot waterfall is well photographed because of its locatation right off the side of the road.

Hi Gina, welcome to NPN.  This is a fine first (or it looks like second...) post, that shows off the greens of the Pacific Northwest very nicely.  Those two rocks (and the fern below them) in the foreground make a fine lead in and the streaming water pulls my eyes through the rest of the image.  The extra detail seen in the larger version adds lots of interest.

Lovely intimate scene, I really enjoy the greens in this photo.

Really enjoyed this image, Gina.  I like how the falls meander thru the scene with beautiful greens and crisp clean focus on the boulders. Very nice.

Welcome to NPN, Gina. This is a wonderfully constructed image that demonstrates a keen eye and technical prowess. No nits from me!
