Perfect conditions. The rain stopped just long enough for me to get out there Canon 5DMk2, EOS 70-200mm at 70mm, 4 images composited in Helicon Focus for DOF. Iso 500, f16, 0.5sec.

Quite an unusual comp, but I really dig it! I might burn the birght yellow rock to the left a bit, to make the yellow leaves stand out a bit more. Very nice atmosphere you captured here.

Well, my first thought was the same as Roel's; it's an unusual composition, and it works well. The stack was a nice idea to keep the sharp impression of both the foreground and background. I don't think people see or remember scenery with parts of it out of focus, so the stacking makes me feel like I am there. At the same time, the wet atmophere provides wonderful depth to the layers of detail. Makes me want to go out and play in the rain. :D

Beautiful, Daniel. Love the colors, especially the nice yellows in the forground vine maple, and the terrific atmosphere. Nice work to use the vine maple as the foregound.

I like the composition, Daniel. It grabs your attention on the left and then leads you deeply into the foggy background. The focus stacking worked well also. It provides lots of sharp detail all the way through the scene. The large version should be required viewing in this one as it has a great deal more presence (makes you feel like your right there as Wayne said).

I like what you are doing with the focus stack and the in your face comps, Daniel. very cool. I might clone the yellow at the bottom of the frame, but other than that, Outstanding.
