Hi Mario!
This is wonderfully done; very nicely executed. Though it appears simple, but group portraits of elephants are not so simple to execute, at times giving a right cut is very difficult.

Love the texture in the elephant's skin. The black and white really works here. Well done.

Great poses by the big one, with flared ears and curled trunk, and by the little leader make this work real well.  I appreciate you managed a perspective of having the entire herd angling toward the viewer.  I also understand what Jagdeep mentioned, too, regarding how to frame a large grouping and sometimes it can be maddening.  In a perfect world one would have hoped the right edge to be free of other elephants...but of course we live in a real world!   Nice capture.

Excellent image.  The elephants are walking right into the camera.  The Black and White works very well for this image.

I liked how you framed this one Mario. Very nice work with what looks like a challenging exposure. Always like your B&W processing. Nice work.

Hi Mario,

I like this one - and further acknowledge that working with groups of subjects is always really tricky business. I like that despite having multiple subjects there is still (at least to my eye) a clear main subject. While I do share Lon's view that the image might be stronger with a small gap in the right (and no cut-off animals) - hey...that's "perfect world" stuff! I think the B&W conversion works well in an absolute sense, I always like to see the colour version in comparison (if nothing else, for pure curiosity in examining which "type" of colour images convert well to B&W vs those that don't).

Cheers...
