An ageing cosmos taken a year or two ago with buds seeming about to burst into flower.

Hi Ian. Your Cosmos is now very popular in NPN, in fact it is one of the few summer flowers left. The photo is very impressive for the contrasting colors (your trademark) and the composition. The leaves cut in the left does not disturb me as the buds are only a complement of the subject. I love the image.

This is beautiful, Ian!   I love the comp with the flower at a diagonal and the buds next to it. Excellent detail and great bg.

Ian, this is very lovely. It is expertly composed and well balanced. The colors are analogous. Everything but the large image is super. The large image looks a bit like it is blown up from a smaller image, or at least soft, and it has some blue chromatic aberration along the right edge.cool

Lovely compositoin, Ian.  I really like the way the buds balance the image.  I agree with Phil that the larger image doesn't look quite right.

Outstanding rich color, so vivid I can almost feel it.  Lovely composition and subject, of course, but the richness of color is what really appeals to me.  Excellent
