One of several rainbows viewed from my deck here in MT on Wednesday, as the weather alternated between moderate to heavy rain and sunshine. This bow had the brightest colors that I've ever seen and the most complete color spectrum. (5D3, 70-200 f2.8 @ 120mm, f/8, 1/500s, iso 200, tripod and polarizeer)

Great capture of the rainbow and the landscape below!
Mark, this one is amazing with regard to the color spectrum as you've mentioned. The intensity or thickness depth appears to be as stunning too. Maybe the polarizer helped bring all that to the surface. Regardless of how or why.....just great......
As Jim states, you've got one heck a backyard here too......
Hey Mark,
Looks like your Montana trip is off to a great start and you will be there for 5 more weeks if I'm not mistaken. You captured a real beauty here but, I'm hoping you get some blue skies also. Have you tried your pre-dawn sleeping bag idea yet ? Can't wait the see and hear about that.
Well done . . .
Love those bolts of colored light striking to the ground! A polar can obliterate a bow, at the other end can it enhance?
I like your backyard too. You do need some bison however
. Rainbow is awesome with the contrast of the yellow brown prairie and dark gray sky

Excellent quality and an expert job on the colors Mark..
All I can say is wow, this rainbow has your name on it!

Beautiful rainbow and storm. I love how a polarizer can bring out the colors of a rainbow.
I bet this looks good in a big image, cause it definitely looks better in the big image on here. A bigger image lets you see all that rolling country in the FG. It's hard to get rainbows; you did an excellent job here. The color and definition is great.
