Lenticular clouds in Kamchatka are not so rare event, but it is very difficult to catch needful light. I was waiting till evening, but the first shot disappointed me at once. There was no drama, then I decided to put on purple gradient filter on my lens, and... Ta-Da. I get what I wanted! On the left side Koryaksky volcano, the other Avachinsky volcano, both are active.

D5000, Tamron 18-200, 1/10 sec at f/16 ISO 200, 40mm, +Purple gradient filter.

The sky and clouds are spectacular, the setting compliments them well.  I'm thinking that a neutral gradient filter would have been worth a try as well, the purple looks a bit out of place.

Thanks for posting!

I can see where you're headed with this, Sergey, but I agree with Jim that the purple doesn't quite fit. I think if you bring down the magenta and red saturation, the balance would be improved. Your composition works me.

Woah nilly!  Good use and disclosure of the filter.
