Sometimes you just get lucky.    A mixed flock of Semi-palmated Plovers and Western Sandpipers landed high up on the beach to rest in the mid-afternoon sun.  They allowed me to get fairly close.  I thought this was a pretty cute pose of the two species resting comfortably next to each other.

Canon 7dmii; 100-400 mm at 350 mm

ISO 100; 1/640 at f9.0

Comments and suggestions appreciated.

Very cute indeed, Allen.  Great low angle and the poses really make this image.
