Wonderful image of this unusual (for me anyway) colored BF, Graham. The heather makes an outstandingly complementary perch and bg, and the dof managment could not be better for the BF, the perch, and the bg. If ever there was a "holidayish" butterfly image, this is it. devil

I haven't seen many hairstreaks here this season, don't know why.. And I agree with Scott, the heather makes for a great perch. Everything looks very nice Graham, no nitsdevil

Superb detail in the butterfly. This green color is unusual for me too. Thanks for sharing.

This is a lovely look at this butterfly, Graham.  The details are terrific with wonderful subtle colors throughout and fine details both in the bf and it's perch.

Really great detail!  I like the fringe on the edges of the wings. The subtle colors are very nice.

Hey Graham,
Amazing how all the elements in this image compliment each other so nicely.
Well seen and presented . . .  devil
