Red Boat
I was really inspired by Jim Gavins' recent abstract yellow boat image. I am spending the week in Seattle at South Lake Union adjacent to the Wooden Boat Center. So I have had the opportunity to do some nautical photography. Here is an image of color and texture from the lightship Swiftsure docked at South Lake Union next to the Museum of History and Industry and adjacent to several other older wooden boats.

This works as an abstract, with the colors, textures and lines. It has a painterly quality to it, too.

David, a very rough and rugged looking hull here. The color scheme works perfectly too......very nice.
Beautiful texture and color. I wonder if you'd consider cloning out the brownish waterline stain? It doesn't quite fit with the color scheme. Lovely abstract, David!
