Navigating the Cracks

A group of hikers on Svinafellsjökull, a glacier near Skaftafell, Iceland. I loved the dramatic landscape in Iceland, and the human element often adds a welcome sense of scale, including in this shot here.

Nikon D610 + 70-300 AF-S VR @ 270 f/11. Not sure if I used a tripod or not, I certainly carried one.

That is a great sense of scale. Cool image, Basil.

Dang, that's big! The sense of scale is great. I hope those people are roped up--a fall into crevasse would really ruin someone's day. The detail in this is excellent, and the tones look very nice.

Nicely done.  At first, I didn't see the people, and I had to look for them, as I was concentrating on the big crevasses in the foreground. The people show up really well, but it wouldn't take much for them to become part of the glacier, both literally and figuratively!!!  The color/tones make this even better.  Nice.
