I think I particularly like the vertical shafts of the field corn pointing towards the gradiation of the mauve and lavender sunrise.

Nikon D7100, Nikon 17-55 2.8 @ 55mm, 1/125 sec @ f/5.6, ISO 400, handheld.

WOW, you guys sure get the best of skies over there, Bob. Our's are almost always blue bird clear. Not entirely a bad thing but sure does limit wanting much sky showing in our images. I really like the addition of the front row with the noticeable corn ears. This is a very colorful scene.

I guess with some minor work to remove the rolling irrigation & the couple FG fence posts this could also make a nice Landscape gallery scene. Actually, maybe just having shot a bit lower too would have changed that perspective. That is a rolling irrigation system isn't it?

Yeah Paul- it is an irrigation rig. I really don't see much reason to remove it- it really doesn't detract from the image. And the hand of man is apparent in the planting of the corn anyway. Thanks for your comment. cool

Bob, a very valid point I did not entertain. Regardless, a wonderful scene......I like it a lot.

The color contrasts here are sublime, Bob, with the golds down low balancing nicely with the blue up top plus a nice mix along the horizon.  That fine row of ears adds a neat bit of extra interest.  I'm actually liking the irrigation system waving along the skyline.  It fits right in thematically and creates a novel skyline.

After another look I see that I have posted a version that I later adjusted. The iron poles in the forground have been removed/cloned out of my final. All else is the same. angel No sense posting a re-post with the changes.

Sublime's exactly the right adjective Bob, the color gradiation of the sky is simply wonderful.

And the FG with its lighter vertical shafts ties/anchors the frame nicely..

Very well done, two thumbs up!devildevil

This works for me, Bob. I like the color gradient and the warm and cooler tones. The light was perfect. The layers work really well. here.

Bob, I love the colorful sky and the golden corn in this image! I know it's already been said, but for me, I find the irrigation rig distracts from the photo. I don't mind it being there as a hand of man thing, in fact I think it helps tell the story, but I'd like to see more of it or not see it at all.
