Hi Don, welcome to NPN.  This is an interesting look at this stream with the rhododendron leaves.  I like you shutterspeed choice for the water.  It shows both the flow and the action.  This looks like it was taken under overcast light, which may be good for keeping the shadows from getting too dark, but leaves the view muted.  Some gentle sunlight on the leaves here would add some a nicde touch of warmth.

Hi Don, and a warm welcome to NPN!

This is a nice, peaceful scene. I like detail shots like this. I agree with Mark that it looks a little muted. The whites in the water look fine, but I think a bit of adjustment in the mid tones and low values would give this more pop. I also see some bits of debris that could be cloned out in the lower right corner and near top-centerThe shutter speed for this gives a nice sense of flow to the water.

We hope to see more of your work and comments on the work of others.

Hi Don, nice to see your first post here at NPN. I think the suggestions already made on your image are solid observations & ideas, and I just wanted to comment to welcome you to the site.....laugh

Welcome to NPN, Don. I think you've got a strong comp here but I could see a bit more contrast to brighten things up, just before the water gets blown out and starts losing detail. That would also make the leaves stand out better.

Beautiful image. One of my favorites on the current landscape page. The water is rendered perfectly, with all of it's grace and movement. I like how you framed it with the overhanging leaves and the large rock.
