Stoney Bouquet

One of two sunsets during my July weeek in the San Juan Mountains in southwest Colorado provided some illumination for the bed of flowers.  Wondering about the snow field sliver in the ULC- accent on the angle or a distraction?  Of course, any other suggestions are welcome.

That small patch of snow is indeed distracting for me unfortunately, I would crop it out. Other than that, I really enjoy this one. The vibrance in the flowers and their diversity is particularly appealing.

What a visual treat this is. No nits, no comments. Just silently enjoying this magnificent view. Great work!

Opening up the large version made a big smile crinkle up my face!  Lovely.  DOF to get those flowers and no wind... excellent comp!  Terrrrific!

What snow fie . . . oh, that?  Didn't notice it.  To busy enjoying the rest of the scene.

That is one fantastic field of paintbrush!  Your exposure look perfect.  The snow field is a little distracting, but cropping it out would interfere with the cloud.  I guess you could clone out or maybe darken it a little so it is not to draw as much attention.  A grand view.  Looks so inviting there.

Beautiful scene Doug!

Although very minor, I might want to loose the snow field.

This looks real nice, Doug. The flowers look perfect for the light you had. I think you could crop down from the top a tad; just to the top of the small clouds in the top center. You could then clone out any remaining bits of the snow field.

This is a very peacful and colorful image. Well done!

I like the balance of the comp.  Yes, the snowfield is distraction, I'd remove it.

Must have been an extra long weeek...  Beautiful image. Perfect exposure and color balance.  The snow field is a little distracting but I can live with it.  Where in San Juans?  Chicago Basin?

Wonderful scene and depth of field.  I didn't initially see the snowfield, but since others do, I think it can be cropped out and will also remove the lower density area of flowers and also move the intersecting ridges off center.  Small change, but big improvement, I'm guessing.

lovely lovely image. Is this a multiple blend for DOF?

Prashant, Yes, this is a focus stack of 5 images for dof using Zerene, and then a blend for the properly exposed sky.

For the strip of snow, I ended cloning it out rather than crop as I would want the ridges to start in the upper corners.  Thanks for all the suggestions.

Wonderful color Doug that feels quite natural. I would clone away the snow patch but to be honest I didn't notice it immediately but once you alerted me to its presence it became a distraction. Nice work on the clouds and sky, too. Is this a two exposure blend? I don't detect any sign of a GND.
