This juvenile Cedar Wax Wing was feeding with a group of six others that, when I returned from some errands two hours later, had striped these bushes bare of their berries and shut this scene down for the year. I'm sure there were more than six birds in on the feast while I was gone, but I was amazed how quickly they picked it clean. Hopefully I'll get another opportunity this fall.

Beautiful, Neil. I love that golden bg and the fall color of the leaves. The berry in the beak is always cool.
Really nice work with this backlit subject Neil and love the comp and framing on the perch and stems.
Very nice look at this WW juvie Neil. I've never seen one here, they just pass through on their migration..
I especially like the berry-n-beak & those golden tones are lovely
I love the light and the colors in this Neil. The berry really helps out as well. I wish the branch on the right wasn't there, but overall a great image.
An elegant shot in nice light. The leaves left of the bird didn't do you any favors and I might be tempted to selectively pull them down a little. But a pretty wonderful image as posted.
Hey Neil,
There's a lot going on in this image and its all good,
Well done . . .
